The window series was part of "Worlds Apart", a solo show of mine at the University Club, Regina Saskatchewan. In this work I am responding to the immediate space of the Club, placing images of windows in between the very same windows that are depicted in the image. I would like to think that in the history of the University Club, many people have sat and interacted with each other close to these windows, occasionally glancing out of them and letting their minds wander. During my show I would like to think that people not only looked out of the windows but were aware of the windows themselves. I think that the window is a cinematic perspective into the other. By directing attention to that quality of windows, I hope to stimulate the relationship between physical and cognitive structures and perception.
